5 Instagram Influencers You Should Know

Instagram has for long been my favourite social media. I can't hide the fact that I am fond of esthetics and photography so Instagram is both the best place to express myself and a great one to find inspiration. Talking about inspiration, I have noticed that I keep coming back to my favourite accounts whenever I want to get inspired or simply to put myself in the mood to shoot nice pictures. People and bloggers I follow don't necessarily have the same style however I find that this diversity makes this social media more interesting ; so here are my favourite influencers for you to indulge in!

Little Ordinary Moments of Happiness

Last November I walked into a Roman library to purchase a book I could improve my Italian with. It had to be relatively short, not too complicated to understand and of course I had to be captivated from what I read on the back cover. He recommended Momenti di Trascurabile Felicità by Francesco Piccolo, and got me convinced. As soon as I perused the first words along its pages I became completely smitten; I knew it was the kind of book you wish you’d never finish because it is this good

The Ordinary Review: My Essential CHANEL Poudre Universelle Compacte

I remember wondering at first what luxury beauty products were the worthiest to buy, and came to mind foundation, lipstick and possibly mascara. So when I splurged on CHANEL's Poudre Universelle Compacte I wasn't entirely sure of the difference using this one would make compared to my former Rimmel's Stay Matte compact powder. It took me a bit of time to start using it as I generally don't apply a lot on my face, but when I started living in Rome in summer and needed to stave off the shine, I quickly realised how high-quality this product was and it all became clear that I could never live without it again. This CHANEL powder is definitely worth having its own spotlight on the blog!

Food Specialities to Try in Rome

Alberto Sordi in An American in Rome (1954)

Italian cuisine is known in the whole world as one of the most popular, tastiest and simplest assortment of food - everywhere you go you will step upon an Italian restaurant serving pasta and pizza. It's been my favourite for as long as I can remember. However before moving to Italy, I had scarcely any idea of the regional richness of its gastronomy. Now that I live in Rome I've had the time, along with a few friends, to catch up on culinary wonders and swore I'll always pay attention to regional specialties to get the best out of Italian trips. Indeed it is quite simple to understand that the best Italian food one can ever try is in Italy, provided that you know what to eat depending on the city you're visiting. If for example Italian gastronomy is not all about pasta hundreds of recipes exist, so an Italian person who knows their own cuisine will not pick the same pasta dish on the menu when sitting at a restaurant in Rome, Naples or Florence.
