My Little Flower Box - April 2016 Edition

Bonjour ! Let me introduce you to My Little Flower Box, the very springy My Little Box's April edition. It was my first time ordering a beauty box online, and I can genuinely say it won't be the last. In a nutshell, it's been years that I had wanted to take the plunge and receive a lovely surprise someday I wasn't completely expecting; it eventually came true when I noticed My Little Box floral theme going on this month and couldn't help but yield to it.

The concept is quite simple: developed by My Little Paris, My Little Box surprises you with a box filled with new high-quality cosmetics, fashion and lifestyle accessories, the magazine My Little World, their illustrator Kanako's sketches as well as other little goodies... dropped every month in your letter box! When it comes to your purse, it costs £14,95 or 16,90€ per month with delivery included (the products inside are worth much more), although I spent only £11 thanks to the discount code FIRSTBOX. What I particularly like is the fact that you can treat a friend and offer them a box directly at their address, and this actually is a unique gift idea.

Back to the April edition! I was over the moon when I slowly pulled the bow unleashing a bunch of little treasures. Whilst I was expecting to receive beauty products from partner brands, I was glad to unwrap the cute travel lingerie pouch by Balzac Paris (which I am sure is coming along with me during my next trip to Rome!) as well as the pop-up garden, or Jardin d'Appartement. How great is it to grow little plants with a view on a typical Parisian architecture drown by Kanako? Perfect to brighten up my bedroom on the window sill. The magazine is not only super pretty and full of blossoming poetry, but also quite useful as it provided me with plenty of advice on increasing the life expectancy of fresh-cut blooms. There is even a page reserved to the Queen's birthday! (We French secretly love the British and vice-versa, don't we?)

The three cosmetics of this month came into a little drawstring pouch, which I am definitely going to use for something else. These are the Masque Détoxifiant Rosée du Matin (Rosy Mornings Detoxifying Mask) by My Little Beauty, Pivoine Flora body wash by L'Occitane - although you may get the cherry blossom or rose version of the shower gel, but I got lucky with peony, my favourite flower - and a deep burgundy nail polish by Nails Inc. I was quite surprised as this colour is an autumnal shade, and I think I will wait till September comes to use it. The shower gel smells really good and it is a pleasure to wash myself with such a luxury product in the morning. The product which I am really taken with is the detoxifying mask: first, it smells like Orangina. Second, it changes colour while you let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it off. Third, its formula bursting with Vitamine C sweeps away my dull complexion pretty much instantly, and leaves my skin super glowy and pampered! And finally, My Little Flower Book is the perfect box to slide into two of your favourite books on the shelf - and its cover is perfectly instagramable. For your information, this month's box total value is £57 so definitely beating its price!

This box totally corresponds to what I love in view of the style and chic brought out by My Little Paris. If you are as much of an enthusiast as I am when it comes to these stylish luxury touches, you'll fall in love with the concept and what it has to offer: spending some happy time unwrapping the parcel, discovering the beauty products one by one and plenty of other little surprises that will make your day. Can't wait for the May edition!

What about you, have you ever enjoyed a beauty box from My Little Box? Which one is your favourite? :)
