Take Me to la Ville Rose, Toulouse

A few days ago I had the chance to fly away from my routine to Toulouse to visit some family I had not seen in a while. I don't often have the occasion to pop by south France so I made the most of my trip, balancing between quality time with loved ones and visit of the city (and optionally coffee con panna).

Toulouse is nicknamed "La Ville Rose" (The Pink City) because of the peachy colour of its terracotta bricks. Although Toulouse is the provincial capital of the department of Haute-Garonne, its city centre is relatively small and walkable, scattered with elegant squares. I don't know if the warm weather has something to do with it, but I found the atmosphere to be rather friendly! It was pleasant to wander through the old lanes and admire the numerous decorated facades, whilst being under the impression this February day resembled to a balmy spring-like promenade. The southwestern architecture along with the jacket as an option really was a perfect break - I can't wait to be back during spring or summer time.
