The Everyday Nude Makeup Look

Whenever I think about a nude makeup look, two things in particular pop up in my mind: the no-makeup makeup look and the one based on soft pink and black eyeliner. Although I'm a big fan of the first one, I've recently been enjoying wearing nude eyeshadow and lipstick to look a bit more sophisticated on a daily basis, so I thought I'd share how I now spend 15 precious minutes in the morning. Plus, there's finally a photo of me wearing makeup in a post about makeup so get ready, big things are coming.

At the moment I'm all for healthy tan looks, so I'm using the foundation I would wear in summer when my face has enjoyed a bit of sunshine, the 1,2,3 Perfect one by Bourjois. It gives me a nice coverage while letting my skin breath and above all corrects any redness by evening out my skin. I use it in shade vanilla in order not to get any tan lines. For my concealer I use the Fit Me by Maybelline, which easily blends out with my foundation. Then I apply bit of my beloved Chanel powder (give it a read here) and some blush & contour from the fancy Ciate x Olivia Palermo Cheekbone Cheat Blusher Bronzer, a real life and space-saver when travelling. For my brows, I use the basic L'OrĂ©al brow pencil and a brow gel from Bourjois.

When it comes to the eye-makeup, I simply apply the pinky nude bliss shade from the Stila palette I've had for a couple of years now all over my lids, and a lot of mascara. It turns out the Volume 1 Second by Bourjois is one of my favourite ones, it gives so much volume to my eyelashes! I couldn't recommend it more if you're on a budget.

But the most interesting part of this makeup look is the lips, the Nars Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in shade Do Me Baby. At first I thought it might be too dark or too brown when I tried it on my hand at Sephora - but the assistant actually gave me the idea to apply it with a lip brush and tadaaa, it turned out to be the perfect nude shade that inspired the whole look! This day I've found out that applying lipstick with a brush is not only fancy, it also enables you to manage the quantity of product and opacity on the lips.

Aaaand that's the final look! Not the most complicated, but perfect natural makeup to apply without even thinking on a daily basis. When I want to intensify my gaze, I draw a fine line of black kohl by Marc Jacobs and I'm good to go. I'll never be a full nude makeup gal with heavy eye-makeup (if you are please let me know what nude lipsticks you're craving for!) but this look finally marks my first step into the nude trend.
